Sheet Formatter Agent
Cleans, restructures, and standardizes spreadsheet data for downstream pipeline consumption.
What it is
Every pipeline eventually breaks on bad data. This agent is the structural integrity check that ensures every spreadsheet entering the pipeline meets schema requirements before it touches a processing agent.
How it works
The agent ingests the raw sheet and runs a structural analysis pass: detecting header rows, identifying column semantics, and flagging anomalies like empty columns, all-null rows, and inconsistent formats. It then applies a transformation plan: renaming columns to match the canonical schema, converting date formats, stripping whitespace, and removing formula artifacts. A validation report lists every transformation applied and every anomaly flagged for human review.
How it fits into the pipeline
Entry point of the Ops layer for externally sourced data. Feeds cleaned, schema-compliant data to the Data Normalisation Agent and Deduplication Agent. Also acts as a pre-processing step for the CRM Update Agent to prevent bulk upload failures.
